Lake Junaluska, NC –The Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center Summer Worship Series will continue on Sunday, August 5, 2012, with Dr. Ed Robb preaching at the 8:30 Service of Holy Communion and at the 10:45 Service at Stuart Auditorium.
Dr. Robb, 2011 Distinguished Evangelist of The United Methodist Church, is founding pastor of The Woodlands United Methodist Church in The Woodlands, Texas. The Woodlands has become one of the fastest-growing churches in Methodism, seeking to reach people where they are to bring them into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Under Dr. Robb’s leadership, The Woodlands UMC funds 94 mission projects, deploys 62 missionaries, and designates $1.5 million annually for mission-related work. 57 people from The Woodlands UMC have gone on to serve in ministry, either as pastors or on the mission field.
Each Sunday through August 12, three worship services are planned as part of the Summer Worship Series: a service of Word and Table at 8:30 a.m. in Memorial Chapel, a Praise and Prayer Service at the Lake Junaluska Cross Amphitheater at 9:30 a.m., and at 10:45 a.m., Morning Worship at Stuart Auditorium featuring a variety of well-known preachers from across the country. The Lake Junaluska Singers provide special music during the 10:45 service at Stuart.
