Grab your fishing pole and get away from it all! Common catches include bass, perch, crappie, brim, bluegill and trout.

Fishing at Lake Junaluska is open to the public with a valid N.C. fishing license, available at Ace Hardware located at 1391 Dellwood Rd, Waynesville, N.C. 28786 (0.5 miles west of Lake Junaluska on Hwy 19 West).

FISHING AND BOATING REGULATIONS

Fishing is permitted only in designated areas following the regulations of the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. Lake Junaluska Assembly does not allow the practice of chumming in any form. There is no fishing after dark. Feeding wildlife is prohibited.

Please be considerate of wildlife and swans.

Help preserve the lake by using only boats with trolling motors. Gasoline and diesel fueled boats allowed only with permission.

Boating Access

Boating access for boats on trailers is available at the Hwy 19 boat ramp. Other vessels may be launched from either the Hwy 19 boat ramp or the boat beach located to the north of the Aquatic Center on Memory Lane. No fishing from lakeshore in this area and no fishing in swan feeding zone.
