"Innovative Ideas for Accelerating Church Growth." This 3-day retreat will introduce pastors to proven innovative ideas and best practices that Impact UMC (!mpact) has used to create one of the fastest growing African-American churches in the UMC. Participants will receive key church development and redevelopment principles from members of Impact's lead team, based on Impact's book, Zero to 80: Innovative Ideas for Planting and Accelerating Church Growth.

During this retreat, participants will focus their work using six effective, integrated and interactive modules of developing relevant ministry covering the following areas:

1. Vision, Church Organizational Structure and Marketing
   The !mpact Story; Vision that Works; Casting Vision; Assembling a Team to Implement the Vision; Stuck in Structure; Marketing 101
2. People Resources
   The Right People in the Right Places: Volunteers and Staff; The 4 Cs: Character, Competency, Charisma, and Chemistry; Give Everyone Opportunity to Succeed
3. Worship and Special Events
   Creating Worship that People Never Forget; Thematic Worship; Planning a Year in Advance
   
4. Christian Education/Small Group Networks
   Developing Small Groups that Work; Evangelizing through Small Groups; Engaging Lay People to Serve as Small Group Facilitators; Caring for God's People through Care Groups
5. Logistics
   Organizing Processes and Systems to Optimize Growth; Hospitality, Hospitality, Hospitality; Creating Volunteer Empowerment Systems
6. Technology
   Social Media 101; Websites 101; Future Technology that Churches Need to Invest in Now
