August 23 - 25, 2012The Strong Black Woman: "Rejoicing Together in God's
Abundant Grace." African-American female clergy and female laity
won't want to miss this opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills for
living their faith and to promote and practice self-care, specifically as it
related to living as female African-American Christians. Come away with new
insights to help you use your gifts for even greater glory to God. Draw even
closer to God and to your sisters in Christ.
This is an event open to all
women - from young adult to the young-at-heart and beyond. Participants will
learn the foundation and importance of having their own program of self-care,
and how to use it to form a more solid footing for using spiritual gifts in a
more excellent way, whether clergy or laity. In addition, participants will be
able to take advantage of opportunities to network and build stronger bonds
with other women throughout the church.
