Amanda Smith Earnest is the 2013 Director of Summer Youth Ministry at Lake Junaluska.  Amanda has a long history with Lake Junaluska, directing both the Youth and Children’s Summer Ministries while studying music at Vanderbilt University in the early 2000’s.  Amanda teaches music at the International School of Uganda in Kampala, Uganda.  She and her husband Caleb, taught in Kabul, Afghanistan before moving to Africa in 2012. Through workshops, small groups, and worship leadership this summer, Amanda will share from her unique experiences over the past decade.

Lake Junaluska SURGE Youth Events:  

Renew soul, mind, and body this summer at Lake Junaluska, celebrating 100 years of ministry! Join us for a spiritual formation event in the beautiful North Carolina mountains. We provide a morning and evening assembly led by summer staff and guest leadership. The morning session is followed by workshops on a variety of discipleship skills, spiritual growth, and content of interest to youth and youth workers. An optional mission component can be added to any group package for no additional cost. Program is geared towards rising 6th graders through High School seniors.
