Lake Junaluska, NC: Lake Junaluska invites members of the community to join the Lake Junaluska staff and residents during Lake Junaluska Beautification Day, April 5, 2011.
Volunteers will significantly add to the natural beauty of Lake Junaluska through the completion of low-cost, high-impact projects, such as clearing brush, power washing signs and buildings, and many more beautification projects.
“Lake Junaluska is one of the most beautiful places in all of God’s creation,” explains Jack Ewing, Lake Junaluska executive director. “We want to work in partnership with God to enhance the natural beauty of this place. There will be projects for everyone, from packing and delivering lunches to fellow volunteers, to washing windows, to beautifying the walking trail. We hope that everyone who loves Lake Junaluska as much as we do will join us in making Lake Junaluska a place that everyone can enjoy.”
Lake Junaluska Beautification Day will kick-off during breakfast at 7:30 am in Kern Auditorium, where volunteers will receive work assignments. Boxed lunches will be provided for volunteers on-site.
Volunteers will celebrate their accomplishments at 2:30 pm in Kern Auditorium, where they will enjoy a slideshow of the beautification that their hard work made possible..
