Jason Hundley, 20, joins the Junaluska Singers from Knoxville, TN. He is the son of Chris and Donna Hundley of Knoxville, TN. His grandmother, Juanita Sanchez, resides in Knoxville, TN. His other grandparents, Juan and Jacqui Sanchez, reside in North Ft. Meyers, FL. Jason is a student of Bryan College in Dayton, TN. He studied under Dr. Karen Hawthorne and Dr. David Luther, and is a member of the Bryan College Chamber Singers. He has also been a member of the All-State Choir and All-East Choir. Jason likes a variety of music, from Switchfoot to Sinatra, and everything in between. This is Jason’s first year with the Junaluska Singers. He attends a non-denominational church, the Berean Bible Church.
We asked the Junaluska Singers to include a personal story if they felt like sharing. Here is Jason's story: “I am very thankful for having grown up in a Christian household, and I couldn’t have asked for a better set of parents. My walk with the Lord is only what it is today because of their careful guidance and wise council. I consider both of them to be more than my parents. They are mentors and friends as well. Last summer I interned at my church in Knoxville as a worship leader, but more importantly, I learned to listen for God’s voice. I would like to pursue leading worship full time in the future, but until then, I wish to develop the gifts that God has given me in my voice. May he use it as he will.”
