Johnny C. Nichols, Jr, 23, joins the Junaluska Singers from Monroe, LA where he is a senior at American University and the University of Louisiana Monroe. He is the son of Mary Lucas. Nichols is a Tenor Soloist for Haydn's "The Creation" witht the Monroe Symphony Orchestra as well as 1st Place recipiant of NATS competition for 2 years. Nichols was a participnt of the Louisiana Collegiate Honor Choir, Cantor at St Matthews Catholic Church in Monroe, LA as well as a vocalist at First United Methodist Church in Monroe, LA. He is the Music Director at Trinity Lutheran Church and is a featured soloist in the Monnroe Summer Concert Series. Nichols functions as a student conductor for all choral groups at ULM and his on stage credits include: Rinuccio in "Gianni Schicchi" Puccini, Don Curzio in "Le nozze di Figaro" Wolfgang A Mozart, Harry Easter in "Street Scenes" Kurt Weil, Sparky in "Plaid Tidings: The sequal to Forever Plaid" and Rudolph in "Hello Dolly." This is Nichol's first year with the Junaluska Singers.
