Intermediate Church Video Production

July 8-11, 2014

Intermediate Church Video Production is a three-day course for volunteers or paid staff in churches that are in the early stages of producing video media for use in their services. While students should already have some experience in the operation of their cameras and editing software, even new video producers will benefit. Participants will receive classroominstruction on lighting, capturing sound, shooting, set design, editing, and directing. Participants will be divided into several small groups based on the availability of equipment brought to the class and will, over the course of three days, produce at least one short video. Videos will be critiqued on the last day for proper lighting, audio, graphics, exposure/color balance/focus, and appropriate use of music.
