Fireworks Finale - Open to the Public

Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center is pleased to offer an exciting fireworks display on July 4th.  This event is open to the public and a great family activity. 

The best places to view the Fireworks Finale include the Lake Junaluska Grounds (maps and directions) and the Walmart shopping center located near the junction of Hwy 209 and Hwy 23/74. 

Parking for the Fireworks Finale usually begins late in the afternoon of July 4th.  Beginning at 7 pm the following traffic changes take place on the Lake Junaluska Conference Center grounds.

1. All of South Lakeshore Drive will be designated a one-way street from the junction of South Lakeshore and Access Road  to Dellwood Road (Hwy 19W).  Vehicles may only go west toward Dellwood Road (Hwy 19 West).  Parking will be allowed in the westbound lane of S. Lakeshore;

2. All traffic exiting Lake Junaluska Grounds onto Dellwood Road (Hwy 19W) must turn right (West) after the fireworks.  

3.  North Lakeshore Drive will be closed to eastbound traffic (toward the dam) from 30 minutes before the fireworks display until traffic clears

4. We encourage everyone to avoid County Road, Access Road, Daniel Lane, and the Old Clyde Road when possible to reduce traffic in that area.
