FAITH AND EVERYDAY LEADERSHIP™ —
Revitalizing the 21st Century Church
FAITH AND EVERYDAY LEADERSHIP™ is not a program to teach you how to become a leader. It is a process designed to help you identify and strengthen the many ways that, from your smallest gestures to your most ambitious efforts, every individual already is a leader. One of the church’s best kept secrets is that each person is an agent of grace and transformation in the everyday world – home, neighborhood, marketplace, and workplace.
FAITH AND EVERYDAY LEADERSHIP™ is not based on any one particular theology, any single set of understanding of Christian faith. FAITH AND EVERYDAY LEADERSHIP™ is designed to help each of us become more mindful of the faith we carry with us, and the ways it will largely determine what we each think about how to carry on in everyday life, much less what it means for the practice of leadership.
As we learn again with one another the language, stories, and practices that sustain the transformative potential of congregational life, each of us has the opportunity to take part in reinventing the church for the 21st century. The vitality of living communities of faith comes in large part from their ability to recognize and value the leadership roles of all their members as expressions of their deepest faith commitments and values.
