June 17 - Myrna Roberts
A graduate of LaGrange College with a B.A. in History and Sociology, Myrna is the wife of Rev. Larry Roberts, a preacher from South Georgia, where they served for over 40 years. They have been retired since 1997 and moved to Lake Junaluska. The Roberts have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. They worship at First UMC, Waynesville.
June 24 - Dr. James Warren (Class location will be held in Terrace 316)
A native of Roxboro, North Carolina, Jim is a graduate of Duke University in religion. He also received his Ph.D. from the University of Glasgow. A member of the N.C. conference, Dr. Warren was dean at Scarritt College, then director of I.G.C. at Lake Junaluska. He is married to Marjorie, and they have 3 children and several grandchildren. The Warrens worship at First UMC.

July 8 - Ann Smith
A graduate of Columbia College and a native of Conway, South Carolina, Ann taught 10th grade high school English for 42 years. She is married to Dr. Stan Smith, a minister from the NC Conference. Ann enjoys reading, writing and has performed several of her monologs in various churches and other settings. Stan and Ann have 4 married children and 6 grandchildren. The Smiths worship at Long's Chapel UMC.
July 15 - Dr. Doug Wingeier
July 22 - The Rev. Woody Adams
The Rev. Woody Adams is the son of a United Methodist Minister having grown up in a Methodist parsonage. He attended Emory University and graduated there. He received his M.Div. from Vanderbilt Divinity School. He was a minister for 55 years and is a member of the Tennessee Conference. He is married to the former Lucy Neeley. They have 4 children and 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Lucy and Woody met at Lake Junaluska in 1953 and were married in the chapel in 1955. They worship at Long's Chapel UMC.
July 29 - Rev. Kenneth Lambert
August 5- Janie Dowdy
Janie recently served as Resident Consultant for Development for Lake Junaluska. Janie has had a successful career in the non-profit sector having served the American Heart Association until 2009 for 27 years as a Regional Vice-President. She is currently the Director of Development at the Virginia Institute for Pastoral Care (VIPCare). Janie is married to Roger Dowdy. Roger and Janie purchased a home at Lake Junaluska in 2003. They have a married daughter in Richmond, Virginia.
August 12 - Dr. Walton Garrett
A professor at the Law School at Memphis State University for 23 years, he retired with his wife, Marion to Lake Junaluska in 1986. In 1999, both Walton and Marion were elected Chief Junaluskans. Marion entered her eternal reward in 2005. Walton regularly serves as one of the teachers of the Faith Sunday School at First UMC, Waynesville where he also worships.
