- June 16th - Wannie Hardin -- meeting in Room 103 of Harrell Center
Wannie received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his Masters of Divinity from Duke Divinity School. He also received an MBA from the University of Texas. A college administrator, teacher and pastor, Wannie was a member of the WNC Conference. He served various pastorates in the Winston-Salem district. He retired from First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville. He is married to Betsy McLean and they have 2 sons and 4 grandchildren. They worship at First United Methodist Church in Waynesville, NC.

Summer Sunday School will meet with the Western North Carolina Conference Sunday School program in the Memorial Chapel at 9:00am.
- June 30 - Janie Dowdy -- meeting in Susan Todd Lounge
Janie worked in planned giving for Lake Junaluska from 2008 to 2011 after having a successful career in business and finance. Janie is married to Roger and they have a married daughter who lives in Northern Virginia. Janie and Roger enjoy time here at Lake Junaluska and in Richmond Virginia.
- July 7th - Ann Smith -- meeting in Susan Todd Lounge
Ann is a graduate of Columbia College and a native of Conway, South Carolina. Ann taught 10th grade high school English for 42 years. She is married to Stan Smith a minister from the NC Conference. And and Stan have 4 married children and 6 grandchildren. The Smith's worship at Long's Chapel UMC here in Waynesville, NC.
- July 14th - Ken Lambert -- meeting in Susan Todd Lounge
Ken is a native of Texas and a graduate of Perkins School of Theology at SMU where he did post graduate work. He served in the Texas Conference in various capacities including campus minister, pastor of numerous churches in the Houston area, District Superintendent in Tyler District and Director of Communications for the Board of Pensions. Ken is married to Gwen and they have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. They worship at First United Methodist Church in Waynesville, NC.
- July 21st - Woody Adams -- meeting in Susan Todd Lounge
Woody is the son of a Methodist Minister. He grew up in the Methodist parsonage. He received his undergraduate degree from Emory University and his M.Div from Vanderbilt Divinity School. He has served as minister for 55 years and is a member of the Tennessee Conference. He is married to the former Lucy Neeley. They have 4 children and 14 grandchildren. The Adams worship at Long's Chapel UMC here in Waynesville, NC.
- July 28th - Lawrence McClesky - meeting in Susan Todd Lounge
Lawrence is a native of Atlanta, Ga. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his M.Div. from Duke Divinity School. He later earned a Doctor of Ministry from Princeton Seminary. As a member of the Western North Carolina Conference he served various pastorates. While serving at Myers Park UMC in Charlotte, he was elected to the episcopacy. He served as Bishop in South Carolina for eight years returning to his home conference where he served 4 years before retiring as an active Bishop. He is married to Margaret Fowler. They have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. The McCleskeys retired to Lake Junaluska and enjoy traveling and visiting grandchildren.
- August 4th - Dr. James Warren -- meeting in Susan Todd Lounge
James is a native of Roxboro, N.C. where he received his High School degree. He earned his degree in Religion from Duke University and his Ph.D. from the University of Glasgow. As a member of the N.C. conference, Dr. Warren was dean at Scarritt College, then director of the Intentional Growth Center at Lake Junaluska. He is married to Marjorie and they have 3 children and several grandchildren. The Warrens worship at First United Methodist Church in Waynesville, N.C.
- August 11th - Sara Todd -- meeting in Susan Todd Lounge
Sara is a native of South Carolina. Sara teaches Sunday School at First United Methodist Church in Myrtle Beach, S.C. where she and her husband Donnie are members. Sara is a former high school English teacher. She owned a dress shop, Little Women, in Myrtle Beach. Sara and Donnie have 5 children and 10 grandchildren. In addition to their home in Myrtle Beach, they have a home here on Lorraine Drive and attend Long's Chapel UMC here in Waynesville when they are in town.
