Friends of the Lake

The walking trail at Lake Junaluska is one of the most popular privately owned recreation areas in Western North Carolina. The Friends of the Lake is a program designed to raise funds to support the walking trail and other recreation opportunities at Lake Junaluska.

One hundred percent of the proceeds for the Friends of the Lake go towards the annual maintenance and improvement of these areas at Lake Junaluska. The annual cost of maintaining the walking trail and recreation facilities at Lake Junaluska is over $250,000. Gifts to the Friends of the Lake help Lake Junaluska cover the cost and also help fund future enhancements.
