Lake Junaluska, NC – “Standing on Holy Ground” is the theme for the 2013 Summer Worship Series at Lake Junaluska, celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
The Summer Worship Series runs Sundays, June 16 – August 11, with Holy Communion offered at 8:30 a.m. in Memorial Chapel, and a traditional morning worship service held at 10:45 a.m. in Historic Stuart Auditorium. The Junaluska Singers provide worship music; guest speakers lead the worship service. Childcare is provided for the 10:45 a.m. worship service.
Trevor Hudson will preach at the 10:45 a.m. service Sunday, July 14, at Stuart Auditorium
Hudson has been part of the Methodist movement for over 30 years and is one of God’s great gifts to the ecumenical church. Serving primarily in and around Johannesburg, South Africa, he is deeply committed to the work and ministry of the local congregation and believes strongly that for something to be real it must always be local. Currently, he is part of the pastoral team at Northfield Methodist Church in Benoni. His leadership has been shaped in the crucible of the South African experience. In the post-apartheid era, he has been one of the leading voices in reconciliation and restoration in the Christian community.
Trevor will be the featured speaker for SOULFeast, July 14-18.
