Youth in Missions
Diversity Scholarship Application (PDF)
Background
Youth in Missions is a premier event for youth and young adults striving to love God and God’s people through mission, outreach, and social action. This event, held annually at Lake Junaluska, NC, sponsored by the SEJ of The United Methodist Church brings, together mission-minded young people and outstanding leaders serving in ministry all over the world. Each year the conference offers hands-on mission experiences, seminars, dynamic worship and opportunities for young people to discern their call to leadership, mission, and ministry.
Youth in Missions values diversity and the unique experiences of racial/ethnic minorities in missions and social action ministries. We offer this scholarship, funded by the Ethnic Concerns Committee of the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry, to assure that racial/ethnic minorities have an opportunity to participate in the event, grow in leadership skills and participate in helping to shape future Youth in Missions events and the United Methodist Church.
