Canoe, Kayak and Paddleboard Rentals

Lake Junaluska boat rentals are open Thursdays -Sundays through October 25, 2020.

  • Thursday-Saturday: 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1 p.m.-6 p.m.

Rental Cost

  • $10 per person for one hour

How It Works

  • Purchase a canoe, kayak or stand up paddleboard rental pass from the Recreation Hut (located next to the pool), or reserve a canoe, kayak or paddleboard online and stop by the Recreation Hut upon arrival.
  • Present the pass to the recreation attendants at the beachfront, and the attendant will assist you with getting your equipment out onto the water.

  1. Reserve Boat or Paddleboard

Be advised recreation attendants monitor the water, but there is no lifeguard on duty. Participation in water activities is at your own risk. Please note that fishing from rental boats is not allowed. Learn more about fishing regulations and areas at Lake Junaluska.

Cherokee IV

Ride the Cherokee IV 

Join us for a summer boat tour aboard the Cherokee IV!  Learn some Junaluska history from your tour guide, or just enjoy a peaceful ride around the lake. Tours will take place Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 5 p.m., weather permitting, through October, 25, 2020. The boat dock is located behind the Harrell Center.
