Enjoy the Water

Swim at Lake Junaluska's lakeside outdoor seasonal swimming pool, or rent a canoe, kayak or standup paddleboard at Lake Junaluska to expore the lake. Also nearby are tennis/pickleball courtsmini golf, a playground, shuffle board, lakeside walking trail, golf course and more. Tours on Lake Junaluska's Cherokee IV pontoon boat are also offered seasonally!

Open Daily Memorial Day Weekend-Labor Day Weekend (Closed Aug. 23-26 & Aug. 30-Sept. 2)


Summer hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. daily (weather permitting) through Sunday, Aug. 15. Please note the pool may be closed for private events Sunday and Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. and is closed Aug. 23-26 and Aug. 30-Sept. 2.

Late summer hours are:

  • Monday, Aug. 16-Thursday, Aug. 19 — Open 12-8 p.m.
  • Friday, Aug. 20-Sunday, Aug. 22 — Open 10 a.m-8 p.m.
  • Friday, Aug. 27-Sunday, Aug. 29 — Open 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 3-Monday, Sept. 6 — Open 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Lake Junaluska's outdoor lakeside pool is open to lodging guests, residents and visitors. The pool is located on Memory Lane in the recreation area near the playground, tennis courts and pedestrian bridge. 

Daily Activity Pass
Includes pool admission, 1 round of mini golf and 1 hour of shuffleboard/cornhole

$10 per person per day
$30 per immediate family per day ($5 additional per person after 4 people)
Complimentary pool access for Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center lodging guests.

Day passes may be purchased at Lake Junaluska Outfitters near the pool entrance. Summer Activity Memberships, which include pool access for the season, will be available before Memorial Day weekend.  

Pool Information

The Lake Junaluska Aquatic Center is located at 77 Memory Lane in Lake Junaluska, N.C.

  • Swim at your own risk. “No Lifeguard on Duty” signs posted.
  • Children 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
  • No food is permitted at the pool.
  • No glass bottles permitted at the pool.
  • No running or rough play.
