The Lake Junaluska Singers were formed in 1954, and their legacy includes national and international performances for conferences, dignitaries and major events. Their music ranges from classical choral and contemporary works to gospel, folk, traditional hymns and musical theatre.
This 16-voice, award-winning ensemble is led by Mary Huff, director, and Kathy Geyer McNeil, associate director.
We are very pleased to announce that Mary Huff will return as the Director of the Lake Junaluska Singers, removing the Interim title going forward. Mary has committed to serving as Director of the Lake Junaluska Singers for a renewable, three-year appointment.
Kathy Geyer McNeil will continue as her Associate Director. We are thrilled to see what they will do as a team in the future! Welcome back, Mary!
The Lake Junaluska Singers will have open auditions from December 1, 2017 - March 1, 2018. Applications will be considered in the order they are received, and interviews and followup auditions will be scheduled in March with the Director or Associate Director. Past Lake Junaluska Singers must reapply every season. The application requires video submissions of an art song or aria and a contrasting piece that highlights the singer's strengths. Two references will also be required. Check back in January to apply to be a Lake Junaluska Singer!
