Winter Youth Retreats - Presidents Day Weekend

Over three days, participants will enjoy engaging preaching and energizing worship! Lake Junaluska offers incredible winter programming where groups can customize their experience by choosing to ski or do mission work during their time at the lake.

Mark Oestreicher will speak at the Winter Youth Retreats at Lake Junaluska

Mark Oestreicher (Speaker) has been involved in church ministry his whole life, particularly with teenagers and youth workers. Marko has had a broad experience working in churches in roles ranging from Junior High Pastor to Executive Pastor. For 11 years, Marko was at Youth Specialties in San Diego, an organization that trains and equips church youth workers – the last 8 of those years as president. Marko has authored or contributed to more than 60 books, including the much-talked-about Youth Ministry 3.0. Marko is a partner in The Youth Cartel, providing resources, training and coaching for church youth workers. Marko has been married to Jeannie for 26 years, and has two teenage children, Liesl and Max.

Cameron Moore will lead worship during the Winter Youth Retreats at Lake Junaluska

Cameron Moore (Worship Band) is a singer/songwriter from Charlotte, North Carolina. He has spent the past seven years writing, performing and leading worship throughout the eastern U.S., opening for artists such as Laura Story. Cameron signed with Dream Records in July 2017 and later released his sophomore album, Alpenglow, which poetically expresses the struggles and triumphs of a journey through the night. Alpenglow is available today on all platforms, and can be heard at cameronmooremusic.com. Cameron is currently the coordinator for contemporary worship and arts at Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. 

Shackford Shenanigans (Improve Group) includes sketch comedy actors David deMena, Zander Shores and Frankie Taylor. They perform a variety of sketches, bits and improv that will have you laughing out loud. Veterans of the Asbury University stage, these talented college students have most recently  performed in the campus sell out "Friday Night Live" and in the hilarious  "Complete Works of  WIlliam Shakespeare Abridged." Prepare for an evening of fearless fun where, you, the audience, may become part of the action.
