Each of these youth group events offers morning and evening sessions with high energy worship, guest preachers and workshops! Events are led by a team of college students, guest speakers, and worship bands. The program is geared towards 6th through 12th graders.
"When Jesus got into the boat, His disciples followed him."
Jesus tells His disciples, “Get on the boat!” Once on board, He teaches them, calms their fears, and launches them into mission. It’s no surprise the Church is symbolized by a boat and sail. Miracles happen when we get on board with Jesus. Come to Lake Junaluska this summer, and find your spot on His crew!

Lake Junaluska recently received $400,000 in charitable gifts to renovate the youth and young adults housing facilities. Learn more here!
During your time at the Lake Junaluska Summer Youth Events, your group may choose to add on a mission work experience. We partner with Asheville Youth Mission to provide a meaningful and impactful mission experience. Each afternoon of the Summer Youth Events is free for groups to plan their own activities.
Mission Work Dates (2-4 p.m.)
JAYM can host up to 50 people per day for $13 per person (mission cost not included in program fee). Please register to add mission work no less than 60 days prior to your service date. Advance registration is required so that AYM has enough notice to plan and staff each group accordingly. Groups are responsible for transportation to and from the work site.
*Fees are nonrefundable based on the initial registration number. Groups may add to their registration numbers, on a case by case basis, as needed.
This year we have added a morning workshop time of spiritual formation activities which will vary from event to event. Example activities may include choir, a prayer walk, gardening in our Biblical garden, liturgical dance, worship leadership, onsite mission projects and more!
Youth will sign up for a workshop when they arrive at Lake Junaluska. Pre-registration is not required.
The Summer Youth Events are unique in that the afternoons are free for whatever activity your group thinks is the best fit! We offer mission work opportunities and onsite recreation, but groups also have the option to go off-property and visit nearby attractions. Whether that's a trip to Biltmore Estate, wildwater rafting, ziplining or visiting Asheville's Fun Depot, we've got you covered.

We are thrilled to announce Lake Junaluska has recently received more than $400,000 in charitable donations for renovations and improvements to youth and young adult housing facilities. This is part of a revitalization of our programs for youth and young adults. The first round of upgrades will begin this spring and summer in Mountainview and the Lake Junaluska Apartments—the two lodging buildings most often used by youth. Our desire is to work steadily to bring Lake Junaluska's youth lodging offerings up to the quality level of our youth programming so that our youngest guests experience excellence across the board.
