LAKE JUNALUSKA, N.C. — The community is invited to volunteer with Lake Junaluska staff on Wednesday, May 9 for Lake Beautification Day to help prepare for the summer season. A number of simple, high-impact projects will take place at the lake from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Volunteers can sign up for one hour shifts. Those who have more time to give are welcome to sign up for multiple shifts.
The list of projects for the morning includes litter clean up, painting guardrails, cleaning way-finding signs and street signs, washing windows and more. Because many projects take place outdoors, volunteers are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather.
Participants will receive information on where to meet prior to Lake Beautification Day. Lake Junaluska will provide supplies for each project on the day.
