Lake Junaluska Landscaping Department claims third in Photo Contest

This summer, the Lake Junaluska landscaping department won not only the hearts of the community with beautiful blooms but also third place in a national gardening photography contest.

The contest, sponsored by gardening supply company Kinsman Company, featured photo entries of the company’s unique Pamela Crawford planter, which has holes throughout the liner to allow for innovative landscaping.

“This is our first year using Pamela Crawford planters, and I am delighted they chose our photo,” said Melissa Tinsley, Lake Junaluska landscaping manager. “The planters add beauty and uniqueness to our landscaping.”

With a third-place finish in the 2019 Pamela Crawford Side Planting Photo Contest, the department received a $100 Kinsman gift certificate and online recognition from the company.

Currently, Lake Junaluska displays 19 Pamela Crawford planters, nine of which are located at Inspiration Point.
