What You Can Expect During Your Stay Sanitation and Cleaning Hospital-grade sanitizers will be used to disinfect your room. In lobbies and public areas, sanitation technicians will sanitize and clean all high-touch points such as door handles and elevator buttons. Hard surfaces at the front desk will be sanitized continually throughout the day. Hand sanitizer will be available at the front desk and main entrance of The Terrace Hotel and Lambuth Inn, as well as at all Lake Junaluska guest service areas. Ventilation The majority of guest rooms at Lake Junaluska, including all guest rooms in The Terrace Hotel, are equipped with decentralized air conditioning and heating systems. The windows of every guest room at Lake Junaluska can be opened for added air circulation. Check-In Plexiglas screens are in place at The Terrace front desk, Lambuth Inn front desk and other customer service counters at Lake Junaluska. Guests will be asked to maintain social distance while waiting in line. Room key cards will be sanitized before you receive them. Breakfast Guests of The Terrace enjoy continental breakfast. Dining will be available on outdoor balconies and in the main lobby at The Terrace. Tables for dining will be spaced at least 6 feet apart. To minimize risk, limited housekeeping services will be offered during your stay.
Housekeepers will not provide in-room service during your stay. Guests will be asked to put any bagged trash outside their room door each morning. If you request additional clean linens such as towels or sheets, a staff member will place a bag with the requested items outside the door to your room. Guests will be asked to place dirty linens to be picked up by staff in a bag by the door outside their rooms. Lakeside Bistro Lakeside Bistro will operate at a 50% dine-in capacity. To-go meals and curbside pickup are available. Tables have been placed six feet apart (from the backs of chairs) to comply with social distancing requirements. Tables also are available on the Lakeside Bistro balcony, offering heated outdoor seating with a stunning view of Lake Junaluska. Signs have been installed at the Bistro entrance reminding guests to maintain social distancing. There are also marked indicators to help guests observe 6 feet of distance while waiting in line. When interacting with the guests, staff will practice social distancing and will wear masks and gloves for specific tasks. Along with changing gloves between tasks, staff will practice enhanced hand hygiene by washing hands with soap or using hand sanitizer on a regular basis. All hard surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between all guest seatings as well as at the beginning and end of every shift and frequently throughout the day. Guests will be seated only at tables that have been thoroughly sanitized. Touchless pay is available. Junaluska Gifts & Grounds Indoor seating has been moved outdoors. Junaluska Gifts & Grounds staff members are wearing masks. Hand sanitizing stations are available at the store entrance and at each checkout location and coffee bar. Touchless pay is available. Doors are designated for entrance only or exit only to support social distancing and reduce the need to touch door handles. Spacing of 6 feet apart for social distancing has been marked on the floor. Lake Junaluska Golf Course staff and golfers and ensure continued social distancing, the course has implemented the following practices and procedures: The pro shop is open and limited to four customers and one staff member at a time. Players can register and pay ahead of time by calling 828-456-5777. The attendant inside will provide all necessary information to get players on the course in an orderly manner. The golf course will be closed on days with poor forecasts. Extra cleaning and sanitizing of golf carts and all clubhouse and course surfaces throughout the day. Walking the course is allowed. Prohibiting any group gatherings before or after rounds. Limiting cart staff from handling customer golf bags to and from cars or assistance with putting bags on and off carts. Library
Lake Junaluska Library is open for limited in-person services. Face masks covering the mouth and nose will be mandatory for staff and all library visitors 5 years and older. Children younger than 15 years old must be with a supervising adult at all times in the library. Public seating will not be available. Library programs will not be scheduled or held, and non-library meetings will not be booked or held at this time. Due to limited occupancy and concern for public and staff safety, library visitors are asked to make visits as brief as possible - no more than 30 minutes. Hand sanitizer will be provided at the entrance. Checkout services will be provided by library staff. Shared surfaces will be frequently cleaned and disinfected. Older adults, those with underlying health conditions, and others at heightened risk from communicable diseases are encouraged to limit time in the libraries. Those who are sick are asked to stay home. Library items to be returned may be placed on the return cart to be sanitized and quarantined. Travel Flexibility
